The Pier Restaurant in Newport RI announces St. Patrick's Day celebration
Saturday March 13, 2010, The Pier Restaurant of Newport RI will host its first annual St. Patrick's Day Party with events and special entertainment from 1PM until 5PM on Howard Wharf in Newport.


NEWPORT, RI, March 04, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- On Saturday March 13, 2010, The Pier Restaurant will host its first annual St. Patrick's Day Party with events and special entertainment from 1PM until 5PM. A Traditional Irish fare of Green Beer and Corn beef and cabbage will be available, along with other food stations, menu items, and beverages.

The St. Patrick's Day party will take place on the same day that the Newport St. Patrick's Day Parade occurs. Entertainment will be performed by the Dancing Nancy's and The Bob Tommasone Trio on separate stages.

As a way to pay tribute to those in the holiday spirit anyone dressed in a Kilt that comes to the Pier will receive a complimentary beverage from the Pier. There will be no Cover Charge for this event and seating is open on a first come first serve basis.

"I'm really looking forward to this event," said General Manager Charlie Holder, "I'm excited about reawakening this local hot spot and bringing the community together for some fun."

The Pier is located directly on the Annual Newport St. Patrick's Day Parade route on Howard Wharf, approximately 50 feet from the Aquidneck Mill Building and the International Yacht Restoration School.
